COVID-19 Information for Patients

At Freedom Physio & Pilates the health and well-being of our clients, staff & community are our number one priority, and we are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak all the time.

As a health care provider, we will continue to uphold our high hygiene and infection control standards, policies, and procedures. With the evolving coronavirus situation, we have implemented several additional measures to help protect our clients, their families, and staff.

Our existing and additional measures include:

  • Thorough, frequent cleaning of all high touch areas with hospital grade disinfectant, including all surfaces, including door handles, treatment rooms, gym area, Pilates equipment, kitchen and staff rooms, and bathrooms.

  • Using alcohol wipes on treatment beds followed by a disinfectant to protect vinyl. Gloves are part of our cleaning system and single use wipes are also included in the cleaning process.

  • Requesting patients advise us if they are potentially high risk for infection or have been exposed to anyone who is high risk and that appointments are rescheduled.

  • Requesting all patients use the hand sanitizer provided upon entry into our reception areas. All patients will a wear mask before entering building. Gloves & masks must be worn in Pilates Studio. Hand sanitizer is provided in reception/waiting area and in all Treatment rooms and Pilates Studio

  • We have implemented in our system – a thermometer for to check all clients as they walk in.

  • All staff will wear face shields over their mask.

  • We will educate our staff and patients with up to date information during the Pandemic. Use of posters and written material will be included in this.

  • Requesting patients to bring in their own towels for massage treatments.

  • No cash payment transactions, preferable method of payment is by card and client is asked to tap and use eftpos machine independently.

  • We will supply educational posters regarding risk reduction, symptoms, and best practice hand washing. We will educate clients of any changes by email and in person when required.

  • Ensuring staff who are experiencing cold / flu-like symptoms remain at home.

  • Physiotherapists not shaking hands with patients.

  • Where possible, Physiotherapists and reception staff will be exercising safe distancing between other staff members and all clients. We will wear masks and closely monitor recommendations and guidelines from Australian Physiotherapy Association.

We request that if clients are experiencing any cold/flu-like symptoms which may include fever, coughing, sore throat, fatigue, shortness of breath, loss of taste/smell that they DO NOT attend Freedom Physio & Pilates:

Client are expected to let reception know as soon as possible so that we can amend their booking. Late cancellation fees will be waived if client develops symptoms within the late cancellation period.

Our goal at Freedom Physio and Pilates is to create a safe environment for our staff and clients during the COVID 19 Pandemic.

It important to develop a trust system and we as a team will endeavor to retain this system to the best of our ability.

We have policies and procedures in effect to provide the best and safest care for our clients so they can continue to receive health benefits and confidently live free of pain to enable them to proceed with daily life activities.
